Our Story
Where It All Began
After nearly two decades of cooking at local institution Anchor Oyster Bar in San Francisco’s Castro neighborhood, veteran seafood chef Freddy Gamez left his post to open his very own restaurant: Mission Street Oyster Bar. Situated in the vibrant Mission district, the inviting restaurant serves several varieties of oysters and generous portions of the freshest fare from the sea. Classic dishes include cioppino, Dungeness crab cakes, caesar salad, prawn pastas and creamy Boston clam chowder. Local fish specials and oyster offerings change daily to ensure premium freshness and quality. Choose from a comprehensive selection of beer and wine for the perfect accompaniment to your favorite seafood dish.
